A 34 year-old woman
with a history of cervical stenosis visited to her gynecologist due
to not having a menstrual period for several months. Upon
examination she was noted to have a 16 weeks uterus. Because
of her history no tests were run, she was diagnosed with cervical
stenosis, a probe was used to drain 30cc of fluid from a suspected
hematoma. Three days later she presented to the Emergency Room where
she delivered a 28-week, stillborn fetus.

43 year-old man sustained a tibia-fibula fracture of his left leg
pursuant to stepping in a hole in a nightclub dance floor. The
fractures were set within normal limits of angulation but
resulted in a permanent limp. The client developed osteomyelitis and
peripheral vascular disease. At the time of settlement his treating
physician stated there was an 80% chance the lower leg would need to
be amputated.
